Leaking taps, running toilets and the small jobs
Dripping taps, a toilet that runs all night, pressure that has dropped off. The jobs too small to bother with and too annoying to live with.

A dripping tap is not an emergency, which is exactly why it is still dripping six months later. It is also running water down the drain every day, and on a mixer it usually means a cartridge rather than a whole new tap.
We do the small jobs. If you have a list of them, put the lot on one visit instead of paying a call-out three separate times.
What we handle
- Dripping and leaking taps, washers and cartridges
- Running, leaking or blocked toilets
- Cistern repairs and toilet replacement
- Low or uneven water pressure
- Seized stop taps and isolation valves
- Shower mixers, spouts and diverters
- Dishwasher and washing machine connections
- The list of small jobs you have been putting off
Why it's different up here
A lot of the tapware up here is older than the current owner, and on the older houses the isolation valves have seized, which turns a five minute washer change into a bigger job because there is no way to shut the water off at the fixture. Worth knowing before you start pulling something apart on a Sunday. If the pressure has dropped off across the whole house rather than at one tap, that is usually the water service rather than the fittings, and it is a different job.
The things people ask
Is it worth fixing a dripping tap, or should I replace it?
If it is a washer tap, fixing it is cheap and it will last years. Mixers depend on the brand and the age, because it comes down to whether the cartridge is still made. We check that before you spend money on a tap you did not need.
Can you do a few small jobs in one visit?
Yes, and it is the cheapest way to do it. Write the list down, including the ones you have stopped noticing, and we will work through them in one go rather than charging you to turn up three times.
My water pressure has dropped off. What causes that?
If it is one tap, it is usually the tap. If it is the whole house, it is more likely the water service, a partly closed valve or a failing pressure limiting valve. We test before replacing anything, because guessing at this one gets expensive.
