Plumbing for new homes, extensions and granny flats

On a new build the plumbing goes in twice: the rough-in before the walls close up, and the fit-off at the end. Get the first one wrong and it is a jackhammer and an argument, so it pays to have someone who turns up when the schedule says.

We do the water, waste, gas and roof drainage as one trade. On a small site that removes most of the coordination, because there is one person to call about all of it instead of three.

Why it's different up here

Mountain sites make new work harder in ways a flat block does not. Sandstone close to the surface changes what drainage falls are achievable, steep blocks push the disposal and stormwater options around, and on an extension you are almost always connecting into original pipework that nobody has a drawing for. That last one is where programmes slip, so it is worth finding out what is actually under there before the slab is booked rather than after.
